STRC is a community competition created by ambassadors for the STEPN community.

It is not an official @Stepnofficial or @fslweb3 event, and prizes are funded directly by the ambassadors organizing it.

To protect fairness, STRC reserves the right to review, flag, request more proof, or cancel entries that raise clear suspicion and are not supported by enough proof.

Sessions outside these speed/time limits, or entries with unclear / insufficient proof, may be flagged, reviewed, or rejected.

Speed & energy validation

Screenshot is required and should clearly show run stats, including distance, and date.
Proof must belong to this event window (UTC).
Submit the distance shown in your STEPN activity.
Average speed review uses submitted distance plus activity time and must remain inside the valid bracket range.
Activity duration must match the required energy using the STEPN model: 0.2 energy = 1 minute.
Sessions that exceed the valid speed/time window for the event may be flagged or rejected during review.
Keeping the activity running after energy is depleted does not make the run valid even if extra time, steps, or distance appear in the app.

Published speed ranges

Walker: 1.00 - 6.00 km/h
Jogger: 4.00 - 10.00 km/h
Runner: 8.00 - 20.00 km/h
Trainer: must still respect the event bracket selected in STRC.

Example: 6 energy is about 30 minutes. Up to 30:59 stays inside the accepted window; 31:00+ may be flagged or rejected during review.

Important proof guidance

For decisive / important entries, it is strongly recommended to run the STEPN activity as close as possible to the exact required energy for that event.
To avoid extra suspicion, we strongly recommend recording the same activity separately on Garmin, Strava, Apple Health, Samsung Health, Coros, or a similar tracking app/device.
If an entry raises clear suspicion and enough supporting proof is not provided, STRC reserves the right to cancel that entry during review.

Raffle draw is available after event finalization.

SPM means cadence (steps per minute).
Walker keeps the cadence-only score = Energy Required x min(cadence, cap).
Jogger is still mostly cadence-based, with a small speed boost and a tiny step-length signal.
Runner stays cadence-led, but valid speed matters more than Jogger, with a small step-length signal.
The cap and soft knee prevent cadence glitches from dominating the leaderboard.
High cadence is not an automatic disqualification; only totally unrealistic cadence above eg: 240 spm is hard-rejected.
The exact cadence cap depends on the event, and some Runner or Finale events may use 200 spm.
You do not need daily submissions; participate within the weekly UTC window, submit multiple attempts, and only your best approved submission counts.
If proof screenshots look inconsistent with the claimed run quality, admin may reject and ask for more proof.
